In the framework of the Macedonian Government Presidency of the Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005-2015, H.E.R.A – Health Education and Research Association and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia are organizing international conference “Towards Better Health for Roma”.
The Conference will take place in Skopje on 24 – 25 January, 2012, at Debate Hall in the Government building of the Republic of Macedonia starting at 09 am.
It is foreseen that the Conference would gather national representatives from 11 Decade countries including government representatives, experts and representatives from international and national NGOs.
The overall aim of the conference is to enable proper Access to the primary health care of Roma people and to improve the model of Roma Health Mediators (RHM).
The Conference will be a good opportunity for exchanging views among relevant national stakeholders from the participant countries. This will contribute to further acquiring of appropriate health policies and good practices, as a precondition for effective access to the primary health care of Roma people.
