28th of September is the date we never miss to mark because we are still imagining – instead of living in – a world free from condemnation of abortion. We are here, and we will persist in our fight until the very end so that your body and choice remain yours alone.
Reproductive freedom goes hand in hand with contraception, so HERA Youth, with a young person’s resolution, demand what is rightfully theirs. In this way they both raise the awareness of the youth and remind the decision makers that there is no use of modern contraception if it’s not accessible (and vice versa).
With Circle 20 we have promoted the protocols for processing the complaints in cases of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, and since 2013 we have marked the November’s 16 days of activism against violence against women.
We welcomed everybody to Šuto Orizari – a municipality without a gynaecologist and we reminded the Minister for Health that 8,000 women in Šuto Orizari do not have a gynaecologist.
We demanded from the competent authorities to introduce comprehensive sexuality education (also) with the support from 47 associations – signatories to the Declaration on Comprehensive Sexuality Education, and we also taught a public lesson on the campus of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje because it’s about time for sexual literacy for everybody!
