Vesna Matevska

Vesna Matevska, born in Skopje, graduated at the Institute of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje in 2007. As a psychologist she focuses in the field of psycho-education and psychotherapy. She is a member of the Macedonian association for transactional analysis (MATA). She is certified for work of perpetrators of family violence.

She begun to work at HERA in 2008 as a psychologist in the “I Want to Know” Youth Center. Since 2012 she is a program coordinator  and since 2013 she has been appointed as person in-charge for the protection of children and  youths under risk in the organization. As a program coordinator she works on Sexuality and  People with Disability, a domain which has been in development at HERA since 2010.

Additionally she is included in the fields of improvement of the health and the sexual and reproductive rights of the Roma people, with a particular accent to women and girls. She advocates affirmation of women and actively takes place in the fight against family violence in Macedonia.
