Analyzing four key components i.e. legal and social context, availability and accessibility of services as well as participation and rights, this Report Card summarizes the current situation of HIV prevention strategies and services for gay men and other men who have sex with men in Macedonia and aims to support efforts to increase and improve the programmatic, policy and funding actions taken on HIV prevention. Monitoring the situation is especially important since gay men and other men who have sex with men are not only disproportionately affected by HIV but are also among the most marginalized and discriminated against in society due to laws that criminalize their behaviors making it difficult for them to exercise their human rights, including accessing health services.
The Report Card is available in English and Macedonian.
