To mark the 3rd of December, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, together with the Platform for Promotion of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of Persons with Disabilities, we reiterate that persons with disabilities – same as persons without disabilities – are sexual beings.
In order to enjoy their right to accessible and available healthcare services, including for sexual and reproductive health, and in order to receive services tailored to their individual needs, it is necessary to remove the barriers stretching across all levels of our society. Because disability is with the society, not a trait of a particular person.
