“Don’t judge who loves whom!” is the motto of the national campaign against violence and discrimination of LGBTI people, the first ever in North Macedonia to involves MPs – this time coming from various political parties, members of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Promotion of LGBTI Rights.
With the three videos that were aired on three national televisions we want to raise the public awareness about the problem of violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity and to make an impact for the reduction of prejudices against LGBTI people, which leads to violation of their rights, and frequently escalates in physical violence. The campaign was conducted by the Coalition “Margins” and the LGBTI Support Centre of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights, with the support from the All-Party Parliamentary Group, as part of the project “The Assembly and the Local Government for the Promotion of LGBT Rights” funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to North Macedonia.
