Mila Carovska

Mila Carovska holds a B.A. from the Institute of Social Work and Social Policy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. She received her master’s degree in the field of public health, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and is currently studying at the International Master Program for Managers at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom.

She worked as a program manager and advocacy officer in HERA in the period 2005-2015 in the areas of social inclusion, gender equality, gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights of socially excluded persons.

In her professional career, she contributed with her work to the creation of state and institutional positive policies and measures in the field of social work, education and inclusion, gender equality and the protection of marginalized groups, as a Minister of Labour and Social Policy (2017-2020), Deputy Prime Minister for Economy (2020) and Minister of Education and Science (2020-2022).

She has worked as an expert for numerous domestic and international organisations in the areas of gender equality, protection of marginalized groups and creation of inclusive social policies.
