Marija Angelovski was born and lives in Skopje. During her studies, she volunteered at HERA Youth where she was part of numerous seminars and trainings related to sexual and reproductive health and sexual rights. In this period, she made her first contact with the NGO sector where she was active until 2013.
After graduating at the Faculty of Economics at “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in the Department of foreign trade, she got employed in a multinational group in the business sector. She started her professional development as an administrative and financial assistant, and from 2013 to 2017 she worked as a financial analyst.
Since March 2018, she has been working at HERA as a social entrepreneur at “Nega Plus” and on the IPA project “Otvorame Mozhnosti”. The main motivation for her reactivation in the NGO sector is her desire to influence and create positive changes in society. She considers social entrepreneurship to be one of the ways that combines this desire with the professional qualifications.
