The publication brings together history, critical analysis, and literature to tell the<br \/>\nstories of women who were pioneers, icons, or agents of change, yet whose individual<br \/>\nsuccesses did not lead to genuine, structural equality.<br \/>\nThe collection includes stories from different historical periods and geographical contexts,<br \/>\nranging from the Balkans and Europe to the United States and Africa. Through the lives of<br \/>\nVeselinka Malinska, Draga Ljo\u010di\u0107, Kallirroi Parren, Musine Kokalari, Olympe de Gouges,<br \/>\nElena Ceau\u0219escu, Betty Friedan, Marlene Dietrich, Katti Anker M\u00f8ller, and Regina Bishingti,<br \/>\nthe publication raises the question: what does feminist success mean if the system itself<br \/>\nremains unchanged?<br \/>\nRather than celebrating \u201cthe first women,\u201d Failed Feminism critically analyzes how feminism<br \/>\nhas often succeeded for individuals but not for the majority of women, especially those from<br \/>\nthe working class, rural areas, ethnic minorities, or those performing invisible labor. The<br \/>\ncollection does not deny achievements; instead, it highlights the gap between symbolic<br \/>\nvisibility and real social transformation.<br \/>\nThe publication is based on relevant and verified historical sources and aims to encourage<br \/>\ncritical thinking, academic discussion, and a broader re-examination of how we speak about<br \/>\nwomen\u2019s emancipation.<br \/>\nThis publication was developed as part of a project funded through YSAFE Small Project<br \/>\nGrants, which support youth initiatives implemented by members of YSAFE and partner<br \/>\norganizations.
