In order for them to be integrated in the Macedonian society, they must have access to appropriate employment opportunities and quality services that are non-judgmental and non-discriminatory<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Despite our declarative efforts to join the EU, o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ur state reduces the funds for preventive health care for socially excluded groups of citizens, does not provide comprehensive and sufficient support for victims of domestic violence, nor does it work to reduce the high unemployment rate and eliminate the systemic discrimination that Roma people face on a daily basis.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Following the <a href=\"https:\/\/hera.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/2022-EU-Enlargement-Review-Roma-people-MK.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2022 Report<\/a>, <span data-contrast=\"auto\">this one, too, highlights the gaps in legislation and policy implementation <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and provides recommendations so that Roma women could <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">enjoy their<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">social status as <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">any other citizen in <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The 2023 Enlargement review <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">with a focus on Roma reproductive and social well-being<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is available <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hera.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023-eu-enlargement-review-roma-people-n.macedonia.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Before you is HERA&#8217;s 2023 Enlargement Review, with a focus on Roma reproductive and social well-being in our country.
