The situation is even more difficult for women from marginalized groups, especially for Roma women. They are exposed to double discrimination &#8211; from the majority population and from the Roma communities themselves, based on ethnicity and gender, which pushes them at the margins of the economic society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the 2019 World Bank Report, the gender gap in labour force participation is still large, and there are a number of limitations for Roma women that make them unemployable and economically dependent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to examine the situation on the ground we conducted a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hera.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/31.01-Monitoring-2.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitoring of Utilization of Active Employment Measures and Services by Roma Women for 2020.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The findings unequivocally show that as much as 94% of the total number of registered unemployed Roma women are without education or have primary education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hera.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Grafikon-za-monitoring-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11639\" src=\"https:\/\/hera.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Grafikon-za-monitoring-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"641\" height=\"626\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Low utilization of active employment measures and services on behalf of Roma women can still be noted.
