On the World Down Syndrome Day, 21st of March, we reiterate how important it is to talk about and gain knowledge about sexual and reproductive health. Sexuality education, adjusted to the individual levels of development of people with Down syndrome, contributes to a quality life, proper interpersonal relations and relationships, healthy sexuality, risk reduction from sexual abuse, protection against sexually transmitted infection, prevention against unintended pregnancy. Let’s help the persons with disabilities be informed about “protection” and about “choices” in their lives, so that they can ensure wellbeing for themselves, as well as for the others!
