This year’s 28th of September, the Global Day of Action for Access to Safe and Legal Abortion, was marked under the slogan “Step into our stories, step into our shoes” in an attempt to deconstruct the prejudice and gender stereotypes stigmatising women who have resorted to abortion.
In order to help remove stigma around abortion in our country, which continues to present a major barrier to accessibility and availability of this service, on 29th September we held a debate entitled “This Home Believes that Abortion Policies Are (Not) Beneficial to the Macedonian Society” in the Macedonian Opera and Ballet house starting at 19 hrs.
